I’m really pleased to be sharing some exciting news: my counselling practice has moved from Room for Therapy on George Street to my own dedicated space at Scot Art, 1 Lochside View, Edinburgh, EH12 9DH.

This move feels especially meaningful because it comes within a year of qualifying as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

Having my own room, one that I have created and shaped with care, is something I feel incredibly proud of. It marks a new chapter, not just in location, but in confidence, growth, and grounding my practice in a space that truly reflects who I am and how I work.

Top: Before - a white, empty room, apart from some random e-bikes!

Bottom: After - A warm and welcoming counselling space

The room itself is warm, calm, and welcoming, designed to feel safe and supportive from the moment you arrive. I wanted it to be somewhere you (and I!) can breathe, feel comfortable, and held. I love working from here already - as soon as I walk through the door I can feel myself take a deep breath and relax my body.

The view from my building across Loch Ross and towards the Pentland Hills is spectacular! In the other direction, you can see The Gyle Shopping Centre, and even Edinburgh Castle.

One thing that feels particularly important to me is that in my new building new parents are very welcome to bring their babies to sessions. I know how difficult it can be to access counselling during early parenthood, so I have a play mat and toys, allowing sessions to be as accessible and realistic as possible. There is a lift to my room on the 2nd floor and plenty of space for prams, car seats and changing bags.

That said, if you are coming to see me because of (in)fertility, miscarriage, baby loss or anything unrelated to parenthood, I want you to know that these items are completely hidden from view.

My new office and counselling room at Scot Art, 1 Lochside View, EH12 9DH also offers some very practical benefits:

  • Free parking

  • Easy access

  • A convenient Edinburgh location

  • A calm setting away from the bustle of the city centre

All of this is intended to make coming to counselling feel that little bit easier.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me to reach this point, and I’m really looking forward to welcoming both existing and new clients into my new space.
